The schedule says the deadline is August 31st, but it does not specify if it's possible to still submit solutions that day or not. On the top there's a timer that now says 5 days, 12 hours from now, which would indicate (since today is August 25th) that the submissions have to be in during August 30th, and you can't submit at all during August 31st.
Is this so, or will it be possible to still send in submissions during August 31st (i.e. the real deadline would be when the month changes to September 1st)?

Please be aware of the deadline's time zone, which is August 31, 2024, at 23:59 GMT—the same time zone as the previous competitions, if I recall correctly.
To ensure you meet the deadline, kindly verify the exact time in your local time zone. For instance, in my time zone GMT-4, the deadline is September 1 at 4:00 AM.
Additionally, please select your final three submissions before the deadline.
After the deadline, submissions for the challenge file will be disabled. However, you can still submit your report until September 8, 2024, at 23:59 GMT. Please ensure you submit your report so that your entries are considered valid.
You're doing quite well on the leaderboard. As for me, I've mostly stepped back, as the bottleneck for deep learning models isn't really the fancy models themselves, but rather the GPUs, which I lack. I can only run basic and pre-trained CNN models without much fine-tuning.

So this actually wasn't GMT timezone, because it is impossible to submit anything now at 23:49 PM (GMT) August 30th.
Yes, unfortunately it seems it isn't possible to submit anymore on Aug 31st. That's why I originally asked about it since just providing a day for a deadline doesn't really say whether it's by the end of the day, or when that day starts.
It would be nice if someone from the organizing committee could verify that this was the intended deadline. Specifying just a day without any additional info is somewhat confusing.
Mine showed an hour countdown. It currently says "7 hours ago" which roughly matches up to 23:59:59 on August 30 in Poland (which is where I think the organizers are based).

Apologies for any confusion, everyone. I may have unintentionally misled you. In previous competitions, I did ask similar questions, and the deadline has consistently been at 23:59 GMT. I believe there may be an issue with the system configuration this time, likely just a parameter setting.
To the organizers, if it’s not too much trouble, could you kindly ensure that the date, time, and timezone are clearly specified in future competitions to avoid such misunderstandings? Thank you so much!
