Since we are approaching the end of IEEE BigData 2019 Cup: Suspicious Network Event Recognition, I would like to remind about the challenge reports.
It is very important for us to understand the way you approach the problem. For this reason, we kindly ask you to write and upload to the system a short report describing your solution. The report should explain all data preprocessing and final model preparation steps. Only teams that send the reports will undergo the final evaluation. We will also ask the top three teams to provide source code that allows reproducing their solutions.
Regardless of the final ranking, we will be inviting some number of teams to submit papers which describe their solutions to a special track at the IEEE Big Data 2019 conference. We will choose teams with the most interesting solutions based on the submitted reports. The papers will be published in the conference proceedings and the authors will have an opportunity to present their work at the conference.

I want to ask you to ensure if every team played fair. In the special focusing on:
- One KnowledgePit account can be only associated with a single team at a time. It is not possible to withdraw from a team, but teams can be merged.
- Each team needs to be composed of a different set of persons.
- A single person may enroll in the challenge with only one KnowledgePit account.
Having more chance to check prelimenary score could have really big influence on searching for interactions between features and in my opinon is a really unfair cheating.

Of course, if we detect that someone is violating the competition rules to gain an unfair advantage over other teams, we will be forced to disqualify that team.

I just wanted to ask you guys about the deadline. Do I have until September 29th to upload my solution file and then until October 2nd to upload my report file? How would that work? Because I was planning to only start writing the report after uploading my final solution.

The system works exactly as you described it. The submission system will remain open until October 2nd but after September 29th you will not be able to submit new solutions (only the report). At least that is the plan :-)
